MAKE NW is proud to be acting as Overall Development Manager for the Whittingham Primary School project, supporting Lancashire County Council to unlock a scheme that is both vitally important and long-awaited by the local community.

MAKE was appointed to take on a turnkey development management role, bringing the full design team under its umbrella and providing clear leadership across briefing, design development, cost planning and stakeholder coordination. By doing so, it’s helped move the project beyond a previously stalled position and into a deliverable and coordinated scheme, with a clear route to construction.

Working closely with LCC, school stakeholders and statutory consultees, MAKE has focused on fixing the brief, managing risk early and aligning design quality with budget and programme — ensuring the project is robust as well as ambitious.

This is about more than a new building. It’s about creating a high-quality learning environment that supports children’s wellbeing, curiosity and confidence, and delivers a school experience that the community can be proud of.
